The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process designed for those who are considering joining the Catholic Church by celebrating the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil.
This process, which is more than a program, welcomes both adults who have never been baptized, and those who have been baptized in another Christian tradition.
We might not be struck blind, like the great Saint Paul, or hear the voices of children singing “take up and read” like Saint Augustine – two great converts to Christianity - but we can open our hearts and minds to the call of Jesus Christ.
We can, like the Blessed Virgin Mary, say “Yes” to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. We can, if we quieten ourselves, hear “the still small voice of God “ – the God who beckons us to follow Him, - even amid the clatter and clutter of this fallen world.
Are you listening? How will you respond?
The 2020-2021 RCIA classes begin Monday, September 14th – won’t you join us? Class times have been changed to: 6:00PM – 7:15PM.
The first class on September 14th will be held at the Parish Office. Beginning September 21st, classes will be held at St. Paul VI Catholic School.
